These are ongoing assignments - watch for new ones!
This club will delve more deeply into plant science and horticulture, with hands-on work in the Teaching Patch and even some greenhouse opportunities next winter. Respect for the environment and helping others through volunteering are emphasized.
Watch your email for information on home activities and a possible service project in November.
Before the next meeting - We are learning about plant classification. You can learn about ID from leaf shapes from our class handout (we can email it if you missed it.) You can also always do the activities on our national JMG site: http://jmgkids.us/curriculum/operation-thistle/ click on Youth Resources and look at the Mission __ Web Option. For this week it would be Mission 2 - Leaf print painting. Whichever home activity you do, please bring it in to show us at the next meeting!
Don't forget to bring the leaders your filled-out 4H Release Form.
See you Thursday, October 24 at the Extension Office, 4:00. Dress to work in the garden - NO sandals or open-toes shoes. And always, bring your 3-ring binder (binder dividers are handy) and your refillable water bottle.
