2017-18 Bud's
From October to the first part of February we will be working in the JMG curriculum, Wildlife Gardener.  If your student attends all of the meeting they will earn a special certification from JMG as a Wildlife Gardner.  If your student has to miss a meeting, please check with Ms. Tammie on ways to make up that lesson.  This is in addition to the requirements for regular JMG certification.

Starting in February we will begin doing projects that the kids will sell at the April Plant Sale.  Here is an updated lists for our classes for February - April.

Regular Class Meeting:
Feb. 1 - Lady Bug Facts Lesson / Make Golf Ball Lady Bugs for Plant Sale
Feb. 15 - Plant Parts & Needs / Make Plasticware Flowers for Plant Sale
March 1 - Spring Gardening / Make Marble Plant Markers for Plant Sale
March 15 - Wildlife Conservation / Make Tea Cup Birdfeeders
April 5 - Tree ID / Plant Trees / Plant Sale Activity TBD
April 19 - Soil Needs / Decorate Terra Cotta Pots for Plant Sale
May 3 - Possible Field Trip - TBA
May 17 - JMG Awards for all age groups

April 20 - Set up booth/Kids room for Plant Sale - Times TBA
April 21 - Plant Sale 9:00am to 4:00pm - Several areas to work 


Special Workdays or Field Trips:
March 24 2:00pm to 5:00pm - Work on Dried Flower Window / Plant Garden
March - Date TBA - Field Trip to Appalachian Bear Rescue Offsite Classroom
April - Date TBA - Field Trip to American Eagle Foundation Offsite Facility
