We have a dynamic club for students entering 9th-12th grades.  We will explore more in depth the natural world and our place in it.  More field trips, more hands-on learning, and career exploration will enhance the botany, wildlife, gardening and service projects. 

Dixie Seaton, a Sevier County Master Gardener, leads this group with lots of help from other master gardeners, parents and local experts in different fields.  Email us at scjrmg@gmail.com or call the Sevier Co Extension Office and speak with Glenn Turner for more information.  Check the calendar page on this website for details on the next meeting location and activities.

Check it out - The first event for our new club was August 7th, when we were able to join UT/TWRA/TDEC on a Index of Biotic Integrity Survey.  This joint effort was held in the Little River in Townsend, and was a count of the fish and other wildlife in the river to measure the quality of the water.  Students fully participated in the work, and learned a lot about the subject, the method, and possible careers!
